Why is the Titanoboa needed for the school story curriculum?

Why do we need to build a SSC or School Story Curriculum that is based on prehistory and the dinosaurs and other extinct animals that roamed the land and sea? The Titanoboa and the TREX have for years caught the attention of children and must be the basis of the School Story Curriculum.
